CHOCOLATE EASTER NESTS.

Chocolate Easter Nests.

Everyone loves a crispy, chocolate cornflake nest at Easter, whatever their age.

Brilliant to make with children, friends and family, these nests could not be simpler to make (or eat!).

You can use any cereal you like to make these nests – Rice Krispies, Shredded Wheat or Good Grain Puffed Wheat also work well. I chose cornflakes because that’s what my Mum and I would do when I was little.

Made by melting chooclate with a tsp of coconut oil (for shine) together, they take minutes to make.

The hardest part is waiting for them to set in the fridge!
I don’t think this quite qualifies as a recipe, but I’m posting it anyway because they’re delicious after all.

Serving Size.

Makes 9 nests.

Ingredients.

  • 120g Cornflakes
  • 100g Dark Chocolate
  • 1tsp. Coconut Oil
  • Mini Eggs

Method.

  1. Break the chocolate up into pieces and place into a glass or microwaveable bowl melting it at 10 second intervals.
  2. Add the cornflakes and coconut oil.
  3. Spoon the mixture into muffin cases, decorate with mini eggs and place in the fridge or freezer for 1 hour.
  4. Enjoy!

I’ve shared a handful of Easter recipes here, so be sure to check them out!

Happy Easter! I hope you’re able to indulge guilt free with your loved ones.
